Collioure - Seaside Village Near Spain

Bonjour everyone. Collioure is one of the prettiest seaside villages in France, and one we'll be visiting during our upcoming tour. Tucked beneath the vineyard-laced foothills of the Pyrenees, with its colorful fishing boats lined along the quays, its pastel-hued houses nestled against the waterfront, and its centuries-old tower standing like a sentinel at the harbor entrance, Collioure is nothing short of magical.

Fresh ripe tomatoes, fragrant basil and local Mediterranean anchovies straight from the nearby sea made a memorable lunch on last year's September 2007 Chez French Girl tour...add some rich local wine and a brilliant sunny day for more fun...looking forward to visiting the lovely seaside town of Collioure again this year....
